    Position Summary


    Computational Anatomist - Department of Pathology and Anatomical Sciences ("PAS") is seeking to hire a tenure track faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.

    The successful candidate will:



      • Develop and maintain a funded research portfolio

      • Engage in a teaching program designed to support the missions of the Department (PAS) and School (UB)



     



    Research:


    • Must have research experience in anatomy and anatomical sciences, including application of computational tools and methodologies

    • Working knowledge of computer programming, structural modeling, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI), etc.

    • Strong candidates will endorse and embrace cross-disciplinary team science approaches to computational anatomy



    Teaching:


    • Teaching of gross anatomy to professional and graduate students is a requirement for this position

    • Candidates will be expected to help in the design and implementation of a new computational anatomy course that focuses on the fusion of cadaveric and virtual models and leverages these approaches to support the education of graduate and professional students
