My research interests include the advancement of integrating qualitative and quantitative methods particularly within trials, health and illness experiences and perceptions of health services from the perspectives of patients, the public and professionals, patient centred practice, illness behaviours and cognitions and health care intervention development, evaluation and improvement. I am also interested in how patient and professional experiences and perceptions influence participation in and implementation of clinical and non-clinical trials. My doctoral research focuses on the influence, impact and interaction of qualitative methods on clinical trials and their yields and the role research organisations and personnel play in this process. I am particularly keen on collaborative, multidiciplinary working across organisations and research groups and welcome any opportuntity to do so.
