Christine Burren is a Consultant in Paediatric Diabetes, Endocrinology and Bone at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol. She trained and undertook earlier research projects in Melbourne, Australia, Portland, Oregon, USA and St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, UK.
Her main research interests include rare metabolic bone disorders of childhood (Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Hypophosphatasia, XLH and skeletal dysplasias), childhood diabetes (early treatments and improving long term control) and paediatric endocrinology (particularly growth disorders).
