The advanced imaging techniques, including CT perfusion imaging, MR-PWI, -DTI, MRS and fMRI can provide metabolic and functional information in brain tissues beyond the anatomic changes in conventional images, thus significantly improve the imaging diagnostic accuracy and clinical management in patients with central nerve system diseases. Our current research projects in CNS tumors include multiple modalities in pre-operative imaging diagnosis of tumor and tumor mimic in brain and spinal cord, evaluation of treatment effect in brain tumors, differential diagnosis between progression and pseudoprogression, and functional genetic neuroimaging studies in glioma. Stroke, degenerative disease, and metabolic diseases are also our research interests.
