In addition to general pediatric orthopedics, his special interests include spinal deformity and correction, limb deformity, limb length inequality, and limb length equalization techniques. Dr. Caskey is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America, and the American Orthopedic Association. He has academic appointments at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Caskey has over 32 years experience in pediatric orthopedic surgery and teaching orthopedic residents and medical students, as well as clinical research. He served on the Spokane Institutional Review Board, the Spokane County Medical Society Grievance Committee, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons Pediatric Evaluation Subcommittee. Dr. Caskey served as Chairman of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America Advocacy Committee and their Decade of Bone and Joint Ad Hoc Committee, and served as a Member of the United States Bone and Joint Decade Committee. He has given numerous presentations at international, national, and regional meetings and is the author of manuscripts in referred journals, book chapters, and online educational material.
