Expertise: Dr. Duarte’s research applies methods from decision analysis, health economics, and infectious disease modeling to optimize the treatment and prevention of HIV in Sub-Saharan Africa. Currently, he is focused on evaluating the cost-effectiveness of various diagnostic and treatment strategies aimed at addressing the challenges posed by HIV drug resistance in Kenya.
