Dr. Ana Serezani is a Research Assistant Professor in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary, and Critical Care Medicine. She obtained her Ph.D. in Immunology from University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Dr. Serezani was a Research Assistant Professor in the Pediatrics Department at Indiana University School of Medicine. Her research examines the contribution of adaptive and innate immune responses to the control of pathogens associated with chronic lung diseases, including herpesvirus in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). She is particularly interested in developing therapeutic interventions to prevent chronic inflammation, decreasing risks for disease progression and/or exacerbation
