Expertise: My work uses advanced patch clamp techniques, optogenetics, and promotor/enhancer driven gene expression to dissect cortical and subcortical microcircuits. I am particularly interested in the structure-function relationship between local connectivity and the in vivo functional properties of neocortical microcircuits.
