Job Description |
Background: The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology at the University of Alabama (UAB) School of Medicine is seeking a full-time faculty position for a licensed, or Alabama license eligible, Clinical Health Psychologist for the Integrated Behavioral Medicine Service (iBeMS) in the Division of Adult Psychiatry. Rank, tenure status and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications. The iBeMS Psychologist will be co-located within primary care and/or other specialty clinics within the UAB Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have experience providing evidence-based interventions with a broad range of mental health disorders in adults 18 and older. Clinical work will include some combination of brief psychological assessments and brief, evidenced based intervention based on training and specific interest. Applicants with an interest in behavioral medicine preferred. Psychologists in the Department of Psychiatry are expected to provide supervision of graduate students, psychology interns, and psychiatry residents and fellows as part of their educational role. |
Required Qualifications | Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD) or higher in clinical psychology or a related field. |
Preferred Qualifications | Behavioral medicine experience desired. Demonstrated history of work in integrated medical settings also preferred. |
