Position description

The Department of Neurology and Neuroscience Theme within the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA invite applications for candidates at the assistant/associate/full professor level for a tenure track position. Positions will be joint between Neurology and a basic science department (i.e., Human Genetics, Biological Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics, Pharmacology, Physiology or Neurobiology) and Neurology. Candidates with an M.D., Ph.D., or both degrees will be considered. This position is supported by a state-funded full time equivalent (FTE) position and the Charles Markham Chair in Neurology. We welcome candidates whose experience in teaching, research, or community service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence. We are particularly interested in applicants with a primary interest in Parkinson’s disease research. Applicants with outstanding records of accomplishment and ambitious future goals spanning the entire spectrum of research in the area of neurodegeneration from basic cell biology to genetics and translational research are encouraged to apply.
