The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota is currently seeking two faculty members to join our nationally acclaimed and internationally renowned department. We are hiring an Assistant Professor (tenure track) and an Associate Professor (tenured) in the research division, which is the 4th most NIH-funded family medicine department nationally. Applicants for both positions must have a PhD or equivalent in health, mental health/behavioral medicine, public health, or related field, or MD/DO with board certification in Family Medicine, General Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics.
The selected candidates will assume major responsibility for overseeing their own independent and externally funded, ongoing health-related research projects. Work effort will include preparing new grant proposals, securing independent research funding, publications, as well as clinical and/or teaching effort within an affiliated primary care clinic.
Additional responsibilities include:
Participating in departmental and Program in Health Disparities Research projects and programs
Teaching graduate level students, medical residents, and post-doctoral fellows in medicine, mental health/behavioral health, public health, and other related fields.
