  • Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Radiation Oncology

    The Department of Radiation Medicine at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking a person with M.D./D.O. degree and certification (preferable) or eligibility in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiation for a faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level. This position will involve duties at community practice in Morehead, KY. The Department of Radiation Oncology is a vital part of the UK Markey Cancer Center, the only NCI-designated Cancer Center in Kentucky.

    This is a non-teaching position with minimal expectation for research and teaching but the position is an appointment as faculty in the college of medicine University of Kentucky and appointment will be commiserate with experience. Appointment is eligible for participation in productivity incentive similar to other main campus faculty.


    Treatment Modalities:

    External Beam Radiation, Conventional/3D- conformal radiation therapy, Intensity-modulated radiation therapy Stereotactic body radiation therapy, Spatially fractionated radiotherapy (GRID Therapy). Physics support is from main campus and center has permanent support staff including nursing. Medical Oncology and Surgical support are through community hospital. The center is scheduled for machine upgrades over the next year.
