  • Assistant Professor in OB/GYN

    The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible general OBGYN for a full-time position at the UK Women's Georgetown OBGYN Practice and Georgetown Community Hospital in Georgetown, Kentucky. Major Responsibilities of this position include comprehensive Obstetrics and Gynecology practice and participation in teaching activities with medical students. Development and participation in educational and community activities and involvement in hospital and university committees is strongly encouraged. Experience and enthusiasm in teaching and supervising medical students is desirable. A competitive salary and benefits package is being offered, and opportunities for faculty development are available and encouraged. Job responsibilities include:


    • Building a comprehensive OB/GYN clinical practice with two other OB/GYNs. Expectation is for nine half-days per week of clinical practice with some combination of Clinic, Operating room-surgery, and Labor and Delivery.

    • Night, weekend, and holiday call will be shared equally among the UK Georgetown practice and UKHC faculty.

    • Excellence in Clinical teaching with medical students and potentially other health care students is expected. In addition, working in partnership with UKCOM and the OBGYN Clerkship Director to build a strong educational clinical site for the UKCOM OBGYN-clerkship.
