    Position Summary


    The University at Buffalo (UB), Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Department of Medicine and Department of Pediatrics, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine-Pediatrics (Med-Peds) Hospitalist for a full-time academic position. This unique dual role offers the opportunity to practice both adult and pediatric hospital medicine at Buffalo General Medical Center and John R. Oishei Childrens Hospital, two premier institutions within the Kaleida Health system.

    Key Responsibilities



      • Provide inpatient care to adult patients at Buffalo General Medical Center and pediatric patients at Oishei Childrens Hospital

      • Participate in teaching and supervision of medical students and residents from the Jacobs School of Medicine

      • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic, academic, and patient-centered environment

      • Engage in scholarly activity, quality improvement, or clinical research as part of academic responsibilities

      • Participate in departmental conferences, educational sessions, and faculty development opportunities

      • Shared coverage of hospitalist services, including night and weekend responsibilities

    Minimum Qualifications




      • MD, DO, or equivalent degree

      • Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine & Pediatrics

      • Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in New York State.

      • Commitment to academic medicine and teaching excellence

      • Strong clinical and communication skills

      • Interest in quality improvement and interdisciplinary collaboration
