The UBMD Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is seeking applicants for a part-time Respiratory Therapist.UBMD outpatient clinics.
Performs pulmonary function testing, spirometry, six-minute walk tests, ambulatory oximetry, FeNO measurement, inhaler training, smoking cessation counseling with clinic patients Provides education to patients and family members on all types of chest physical therapy and ongoing care patients requiring mechanical ventilation and noninvasive positive pressure ventilation in the home setting. Performs other related duties as assigned by authorized personnel or as may be required to meet emergencies. Cystic Fibrosis Specific (CF) Requirements:
Work with patients to ensure adequate patient centered CF specific airway clearance to maintain lung function. Develop relationships and complete annual assessment on all patients with CF. Complete periodic assessments at each clinic visit (2-4 times per year).
