  • Research Support Specialist

    Position Summary
    The Poulsen laboratory, a neuroscience lab with the Department of Neurosurgery, is seeking to fill a Research Support Specialist. Using models of stroke and TBI, the lab is focused on the development of neurotherapeutics and diagnostics. This work is translational in nature and involves using rat TBI and stroke models to test neuroprotective agents and identify plasma biomarkers. The successful candidate will conduct rodent surgeries as part of a preclinical stroke drug development team as well as cognitive and behavioral assessments.

    In this role, you will be responsible for:
    - Compiling and analyzing data based on the results from conducting the rodent surgeries
    - Developing and building cognitive and behavioral assessments
    - Working collaboratively with other colleagues, faculty and fellow researchers

    Minimum Qualifications
    Bachelor’s degree in a biology or related field.
