    Indiana University School of Medicine, in conjunction with the Brown Center for Immunotherapy, seeks an exemplary scientist and skilled leader to head our cell and viral vector manufacturing facilities as the Director of Immune Therapeutics.
    Ample resources for research and collaboration, including:
    • Precision immunology laboratory services (PILS) core with state of the art flow cytometric, CYTOF, and imaging flow cytometry
    • CliniMACS Prodigy, an integrated cell processing device that allows automation and standardization of the complete manufacturing of some cellular therapy products
    • A mixed use facility including BSL-3 ISO-7 clean rooms for vector production and cell manufacturing for allogeneic cell product production
    • NIH/NCATS National Gene Vector Biorepository www.ngvbcc.org)
    • IU School of Medicine’s Precision Health Initiative, a $120 million investment to place Indiana University at the cutting edge of healthcare
    • Indiana CTSI, which fosters collaborations with researchers at Notre Dame and Purdue Universities

    Responsibilities:
    Develop and oversee operational practices for the facility including:
    • Fostering a culture of strong GMP compliance for Phase I/II clinical production
    • Championing implementation of new technologies and systems
    • High level coordination of both academic and clinical units, including relationship building
    • Establishing standard operating procedures for quality systems, communications, technology, and process improvement
    The director will also coordinate the efforts of the Vector Production, Cell Therapy Manufacturing and Cellular Transduction teams.

    • Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology or related discipline, doctoral degree preferred
    • Established leadership credentials
    • Solid experience in biologics manufacturing, experience in a multi-product GMP manufacturing facility preferred
