The Department of Pediatrics, University at Buffalo (UB), Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital, Division of General Pediatrics is actively recruiting for a Board Certified/Board Eligible pediatrician to serve in an urban, community-based, general pediatric ambulatory practice. The successful candidate will have a SUNY at Buffalo appointment at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate with qualification. The Department is particularly interested in candidates who have strong interests in community partnerships, comprehensive primary care, and advocacy for underserved populations. The practice is a New York State certified Patient-Centered Medical Home and is a core ambulatory training site for pediatric residents and medical students. Ambulatory call duties and weekend newborn nursery coverage are shared equally with other faculty members of the division. Leadership, educational and research opportunities in health equity, working with community-based partnerships and advocacy at the patient level and for medical student/resident trainees are available. Also available are leadership, educational and research opportunities in complex care, care for patients with special needs and collaboration with developmental pediatrics.
