Would you like to influence the success of our project "Biological nanostructures: molecular mechanisms and bioengineering" and contribute to a deeper understanding of nanoscale self-assembly? If so, join our highly motivated team at the laboratory of Vladimir Katanaev of the University of Geneva.

Our work identifies how multifunctional nanocoatings are created in nature and translates this knowledge into technological applications. We aim at establishing innovative, sustainable processes within mainstream nanotechnological practices. We perform our research through a combination of mathematical simulation, phylogeny, genetics, biochemistry, and forward engineering. See more here:

CANDIDATE PROFILE: For Ph.D. candidates, a recent M.Sc. (or equivalent) degree in Biophysics, Genetics or Biochemistry, or other related fields is required. Background in protein purification, Drosophila genetics, and non-linear differential equations analysis is very much appreciated. Candidates are expected to demonstrate independent research and scientific reporting skills. Communication skills and teamwork attitude are a big plus.
