The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking a highly motivated, postdoctoral research fellow with a strong background in biomaterials, specifically with expertise in tissue repair and regeneration.
Successful applicant will be assisting on an innovative new project of fetoscopic MMC repair funded by NIH as well as other project initiatives in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Cincinnati.
The individual will be responsible for experimental executions, including fabrication and synthesis of the biomaterials by organic, polymer and peptide techniques, microscopy, flow cytometry, in-vitro cell culture and in-vivo animal work. The individual will conduct data analysis, interpretation and must have strong technical, interpersonal and written communication skills. The initial term of this position will be two years and can be extended based on mutual interests.
Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D., required.
Requires an in-depth knowledge of a specialized field, process, or discipline.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work and collaborate effectively with students, faculty and staff from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.
