Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Musculoskeletal Medicine
The successful candidate will be expected to establish a strong program of high-quality extramurally-funded research with a focus on translation of technologic and biologic innovations to the clinic, with an emphasis directed toward neurologic, autonomic, musculoskeletal and cardio/pulmonary conditions. PM&R faculty members actively contribute to an environment that values diversity and nurtures collaboration, creativity, and innovation. Ample opportunities exist to benefit from new interdisciplinary collaborations across the MHS, CWRU and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
There is a major focus on restoring motor and sensory function for individuals with CNS disorders with a strong program in neural engineering and commitment to clinical deployment. There is an emerging focus on autonomic, musculoskeletal and cardiopulmonary conditions. The candidate will participate as an active investigator in the MRI and the Cleveland Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) Center. The new faculty will also have the opportunity to advance and extend existing relationships to multiple departments in the hospital and the University.
