The Department of Cellular Biology and Anatomy in collaboration with the Office of Academic Affairs of the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) at Augusta University, Augusta, GA, invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. Augusta University includes a state-supported comprehensive academic medical center whose mission is to train physicians. We work collaboratively with other colleges to promote interprofessional education and contribute to anatomical science education for other health care professions. Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. or equivalent and teaching experience in the anatomical sciences (i.e. Histology, Neuroanatomy and/or Gross Anatomy.) The successful candidate will play an active role and work with a talented team of colleagues to teach medical students in large, small, and laboratory group sessions while also designing an exciting new medical education curriculum that offers students personalized educational pathways including an option of completing medical school in three years for those pursuing primary care specialties within the state of Georgia. The successful candidate will advance the MCG undergraduate medical education mission both within the department and as part of many interdisciplinary educational initiatives. We are seeking a creative, innovative educator who will collaboratively contribute to the educational team at MCG. Successful candidates will have an interdisciplinary educational focus, and will contribute to educational research, faculty development, curriculum design and/or course development and leadership. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
