The Multidisciplinary Training Program in Cardiovascular Epidemiology, based in the Boston University Section of Preventive Medicine and Epidemiology, is seeking postdoctoral candidates for a two-year T32 research training fellowship. Positions are available in three pathways: Clinical Translational Research, Statistical Genetics and Genomics, or Computational Biology and Bioinformatics.

The Multidisciplinary Training Program includes comprehensive research training and professional development. The postdoctoral fellow will, under the guidance of a senior faculty mentor, conduct research projects on longitudinal epidemiological studies such as the Framingham Heart Study, Jackson Heart Study, Long Life Family Study, and other cohort studies, focusing on the epidemiology of cardiovascular disease. In addition to the mentored research project, the postdoctoral fellow is expected to present their research at national scientific conferences, pursue additional training through courses or workshops, develop their grant writing skills, and engage in career planning with their mentors and other career guidance mentors. Journal internships and IRB internships are available for interested candidates.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in a related field, or an M.D., and must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Statistical programming skills (SAS and/or R) preferred.
