Working with local collaborators across the region, and with the support of key academics from Monash University Australia, this position is aimed at someone who wants to make their mark in Digital Health (DH) research. The primary purpose of the role is to act as the local Monash University Malaysia and regional lead in NEED – the Network for Equity through Digital Health. NEED is a new regional collaboration and partnership between Monash University Malaysia and key academics at Monash University Australia.
Key components of the role include:
Leadership and promoting collaboration around DH at Monash University Malaysia and more broadly
Developing and / or continuing a research agenda focused solely on DH
Teaching of DH as the opportunity arises
Working to build up NEED, in conjunction with local Monash University Malaysia administrative support and with the Monash University Australia academic leads
A doctoral or masters qualification in health informatics, biomedical Informatics, e-health or digital health; or equivalent accreditation and standing and/or recognised significant experience in the relevant discipline area.
A demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team across both the education and service sectors
A demonstrated high quality academic publication record
Demonstrated ability to undertake high quality research
Proven record of obtaining significant external grants for research
Demonstrated record of successfully supervising postgraduate research students
Demonstrated strong record of teaching experience in a tertiary environment including course coordination
