The Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the State University of New York at Buffalo invites applications for two tenure track faculty position in the Department of Pharmacology at the Associate or Full Professor level. We seek an investigator(s) with expertise in any area of modern electrophysiology of addictive behaviors, stress, and development. Applicants must have a demonstrated a sustained record of publications, training students at all levels, and have current R01 level funding to support their research enterprise.

Department of Pharmacology: The faculty is a collegial, interactive group that applies modern cellular, pharmacological, and behavioral principles to a broad range of research areas. These include the molecular basis of disease, neuroscience, genomics, and motivated behaviors.

Faculty members teach and train graduate and undergraduate students, as well as professional students within the Medical, Dental, and Pharmacy Schools.

UB and Jacobs School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences: UB, SUNY’s comprehensive research campus, is undergoing profound academic growth and transformation. The School relocated in Spring 2018 to a new $375M Medical School Building on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, joining the recently opened Clinical Translational Research Center, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, the Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute, the Hunter James Kelly Research Institute, the New York Center of Excellence for Bioinformatics and Life Sciences, the Clinical Research Institute on Addictions, and the Center for Excellence in PK/PD. The Medical Campus includes research cores in genomics, proteomics, microscopy/imaging, macromolecular crystallization, transgenic animals and stem cells.
