The UAB Department of Psychiatry invites applications for a full-time faculty position for a licensed, or Alabama license eligible, clinical psychologist in the Division of Adult Psychiatry.  Rank, tenure status and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position as a mid-career clinician educator requires the ability to provide primarily outpatient Neuropsychology assessments and intervention work as well as the administrative ability to work closely with the department’s Chief Psychologist in the role of Associate Chief Psychologist to coordinate clinical services within the department and throughout the health system. For applicants seeking a research-focused appointment, individuals with current NIH grant funding are preferred.  Responsibilities include establishing a scholarly or service-based portfolio in neuropsychiatric disorders, providing clinical services, supervising residents and graduate students, and teaching. The clinician-educator is expected to mentor graduate students, interns in the psychology training programs, psychology post-doctoral fellows, and to participate in medical student and resident teaching.
