Director of Health and Wellness/Practice Administrator
Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Director of Health and Wellness is responsible for the execution of strategic initiatives within a fully integrated counseling and medical care environment. Providing administrative supervision, supervising an Associate Director of Health Services and a Director of Counseling services, the Director is focused on proactively ensuring that the psychological and medical needs of the university community are attended to effectively and efficiently by providing direction for all clinical, educational and outreach services for the University. Candidates should be proficient in health care administration.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES:
Individuals must possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities as well as demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
1. Knowledge of the health care systems with specific education and training in medical office management.
2. Ability to maintain and develop strong interpersonal relationships both in and out of the immediate campus.
3. Physical ability to assist health care providers to deliver treatment to a patient in an emergency situation.
4. Excellent budget management skills.
5. Possess a strong working knowledge of medical billing, state regulations and issues surrounding ethical billing.
EDUCATION: Master’s preferred in Health Care Administration
EXPERIENCE:
Previous employment as a Practice Administrator;
Experience in urgent care, school based health clinic or university health preferred;
Demonstrated clinical skills;
Leadership and management skills, experience in supervision, budget management and strategic planning;
Experience in higher education preferred; and
Strong written and oral communication skills.
