The Department of Physiology and Biophysics has an exciting new opportunity for a Research Scientist position in the lab of Dr. Brian Weil. The position will entail using their medical experience to support in vivo and in vitro research in a pre-clinical laboratory utilizing small and large animal models of cardiovascular disease. They will display independent discretion and judgement within the predetermined research scope of the lab. The research scientist will be expected to analyze and present their work with up-to-date knowledge of field. Secondary responsibilities include assisting and advising postdoctoral researchers, medical students or other trainees conducting cardiovascular research in the laboratory. The candidate will have the ability to successfully relate experience and knowledge to new scientific questions.
