UBMD Pediatrics is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician to serve in the newly built hospital and clinic center at the Conventus building located in the downtown Buffalo, New York Medical Corridor. The department is rebuilding its Pediatric Gastroenterology department under the leadership of Steven E. Lipshultz, M.D., F.A.A.P., F.A.H.A., Department Chair and division Chief, Dr. Osama Almadhoun. Currently the practice has an entire support group and a new Endoscopy suite. This program represents an important strategic component for the Division and is one of the few Pediatric Gastroenterology practices in the Western New York area. Responsibilities include care of pediatric patients and resident teaching. The Division provides comprehensive digestive and nutrition healthcare for children and adolescents of Western New York, Northern Pennsylvania and Southern Tier with a very active procedural area including endoscopy, capsule endoscopy, and impedance pH probes.
UBMD Pediatrics is one of 18 practice plans within UBMD Physicians’ Group, the single largest medical group in Western New York. We provide premier health care to infants, children, adolescents and adults. In addition to primary care pediatrics, we have 14 pediatric subspecialties. Our physicians make up the academic teaching faculty within the Department of Pediatrics at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Buffalo and at Oshei Children’s Hospital.
