Assistant/Associate Professor of Anatomy

Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, healthcare and service is seeking applicants for a 12-month faculty appointment at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor in the Center for Anatomical Science and Education (CASE) for the 2020-2021 academic year. CASE is recognized as a Center for Teaching Excellence in the School of Medicine. A doctorate in Anatomy, or equivalent degree, with extensive experience in teaching Human Gross Anatomy and Human Histology to graduate and medical students is required. The faculty member’s primary responsibility will be to teach in Human Gross Anatomy and Human Histology lecture/laboratory courses to graduate, allied health students and to medical students. Other responsibilities may include teaching in an undergraduate Basic Human Anatomy course and in a graduate/medical Human Embryology course.
The faculty member will also be expected to participate in teaching graduate students and serving as a mentor for their thesis research projects. Research, in collaboration with other investigators in the School of Medicine, or the continuation of ongoing independent research project is expected and will be supported. Service on committees in CASE, the School of Medicine and the University will be encouraged for continued professional development and advancement.
Salary and rank are dependent on qualifications and experience and is competitive with other Midwestern medical schools.
