A Postdoctoral Research position is available in Dr. Ping He’s lab at the Department of Cellular and Molecular Physiology, College of Medicine, Penn State University at Hershey, PA. The He laboratory conducts NIH funded research projects with focus on the mechanisms involved in vascular inflammation, atherosclerosis, vascular disease-initiated Alzheimer’s development, and the investigations of prevention and therapeutic strategies. The projects involve both in vivo, ex-vivo, whole animal, and in vitro approaches. The techniques used in the lab include molecular biology, delicate surgery and tissue dissection, blood sample collection and analyses, confocal and light sheet microscopies, flow cytometry, and microvessels-on-a chip platforms. Interested candidate who has the motivation and passion for science and has been productive is encouraged to apply. Experience in working with rodent models, imaging, or cell culture using microfluidic devices are preferred.
