Indiana University School of Medicine is searching to fill a faculty vacancy for a plastic surgeon to join the Division of Plastic Surgery. The position will primarily focus on gender affirmation plastic surgery and will involve care of patients affiliated with our partner hospitals in the Indianapolis area. Microsurgery skills desirable and additional training in gender affirmation surgery preferred but not required. Once fully trained surgical scope includes, but is not limited to, vaginoplasty, phalloplasty, metoidioplasty, masculinizing & feminizing chest surgery, masculinizing & feminizing facial surgery. This person must have an interest in serving the transgender community. Appointment on the clinical or tenure track and level to be determined by qualifications and experience. Our faculty work in clinical environments and on research activities to help improve patient care and teach the next generation of plastic surgeons.

Basic Qualifications
Must have completed an ACGME accredited Plastic Surgery residency program and must be certified, in the process of, or eligible for certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Additionally, candidates must be interested in educating both residents and fellows, and have an interest in research and administration. Excellent communication skills and interest in working in a collaborative / team oriented environment are a must.
