Provides professional level support to the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics for research studies under the supervision of Principal Investigators. The Research Assistant is responsible for assisting study teams with a number of tasks supporting all research-related activities. Responsibilities vary depending on the type of projects across multiple sub-specialties and on behalf of the Chairman (clinical trials, federal, data management, and other). Major duties include general support, liaison between investigators, leaders, agency and industry sponsors, correspondence, preparation of presentations—statistical and conference-related, summary reporting, purchasing for grant-related supplies, maintenance of faculty members’ bio-sketches and curriculum vitae, formatting manuscripts, and compiling literature reviews in cooperation with the research teams.
