The Department of Pediatrics, University at Buffalo (UB), Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo (WCHOB) is actively recruiting for a full-time position in the Division of General Pediatrics; a pediatric hospital medicine physician to join the Pediatric Hospitalist Service (PHS) within the Division of General Academic Pediatrics at WCHOB. Candidates must be BE/BC pediatric physicians interested in a long-term career in Pediatric Hospital Medicine. Fellowship training in Pediatric Hospital Medicine is preferred but not required. Clinical responsibilities will include the care of pediatric inpatients and well-infant care in the newborn nursery. Faculty duties also include education, oversight and instruction of pediatric resident and medical students from Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Rounding, clinical care and call is shared among the Pediatric Hospital Medicine group and includes rotational off-service time.
The Division of General Pediatrics is a growing and active division of 20 faculty members. These positions offer the administrative support of the largest pediatrics practice in Western New York with 14 subspecialties. UBMD Pediatrics is one of 18 practice plans within UBMD Physicians’ Group, the single largest medical group in the area. Our physicians also make up the academic teaching faculty within the Department of Pediatrics at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo.
