The Department of Pediatrics, University at Buffalo (UB), Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and Oishei Children’s Hospital, Division of General Pediatrics is actively recruiting for a part-time BC/BE Pediatric Hospitalist.

This candidate will provide inpatient care for pediatric patients at Oishei Children’s Hospital. They will also share in coverage of the affiliated Pediatric Long Term Care facility at HighPointe on Michigan.

Faculty duties include
* Education, oversight and instruction of pediatric residents and medical students from Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences
* Excellent clinical and teaching skills
* Interest in research and quality improvement.

The successful candidate will have a University appointment at the level of Assistant Professor. Clinical expectations for .5 FTE are 980 hours, 10-13 weekends (Sat/Sun). All providers share equally in night-call (4pm-8am) and weekend call (8am-8am Sat & Sun) according to their percentage clinical FTE. This is “phone call” only taken from home with on-site PICU backup.

UBMD Pediatrics is one of 18 practice plans within UBMD Physicians’ Group, the single largest medical group in the area, and we are supported by 14 pediatric subspecialties. Our physicians also make up the academic teaching faculty within the Department of Pediatrics at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo.
