Position Summary
The Department of Medicine within the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, State University of New York at Buffalo (UB), is seeking a distinguished physician to serve as Division Chief in the Division of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology.

Applicants should have a proven record of research accomplishments and funding, sufficient training and experience in internal medicine and the subspecialty of rheumatology and/or allergy to be able to grow and direct the clinical programs of the Division, and have a thoughtful focus on the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.

This individual will have far reaching leadership responsibilities; therefore, he or she must have exemplary administrative, mentoring, and communication skills, not only to lead a complex division, but also to engage with institutional, departmental, and divisional leaders, the UB community, and regional, national, and international communities in the fields of allergy, immunology and rheumatology.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD degree required
  • Candidates must be BC in Internal Medicine.
  • Candidates must be BE/BC in Allergy and Immunology

OR

  • BE/BC in rheumatology
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of New York
  • Current and unrestricted DEA Certificate

Preferred Qualifications

Applicants should have a proven record of research accomplishments and funding, sufficient training and experience in internal medicine and the subspecialty of rheumatology and/or allergy to be able to grow and direct the clinical programs of the Division, and have a thoughtful focus on the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
