The College of Public Health is currently seeking a HIV Branch Director and Preventive Medicine Residency Director. This position, hired at an Assistant Professor, will be required of this position will include public health practice and service, as well as professional and administrative activities to maintain and enhance the mission and goals of the department. The individual will also have administrative responsibilities as the Director of the Preventive Medicine Residency. This position requires a working relationship with faculty in other college/university departments and with the state health department, serving as medical liaison from the Department for Public Health to the healthcare/hospital and academic communities. This position will also:
- Provide medical consultation to the HIV Branch within the Division of Epidemiology and Health Planning,
- Facilitate and perform training of local health department staff, clinical providers, and health care agencies on HIV/AIDS related issues, and
- Strengthen the DPH’s relationships with providers concerning HIV/AIDS related issues.
