Description: This is a full-time job position. A post-doctoral position is available in Dr. Lena Al-Harthi’s Lab at Rush University Medical Center (Chicago, IL.) to study the role of astrocytes in HIV reservoirs.

Requirements: Interested applicants should have a PhD degree in neuroscience, with preference in glial biology, and technical experience in advanced immunohistostaining, confocal microscopy, and animal studies. Comfort and/or willingness to work with infectious agent is required.
With supervisor’s guidance, successful candidate is expected to independently perform related studies; solve/report scientific/technical problems encountered during research; collect/analyze research data; prepare/present poster/slide presentations for internal progress reports and presentation at scientific meetings; and write scientific manuscript(s) for publication of completed research.

Salary range: Competitive based on experience
