Position Summary
Division of Gastroenterology, Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University at Buffalo (UB), seeks an innovative physician for a full-time position at our
ECMC location. Qualified candidates will be appointed at the Clinical Assistant/ Associate Professor level. The Associate Chief of Gastroenterology Services will serve as the Medical Director of Gastroenterology Services at
ECMC responsible for overseeing the clinical, administrative, and strategic aspects of the Gastroenterology Department at Erie County Medical Center. Minimum Qualifications
- MD/DO or equivalent degree
- BE/BC in GI and Internal Medicine
Preferred Qualifications
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of New York
- Current and unrestricted DEA Certificate
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States a full-time basis
- At least 5 years of clinical practice experience in gastroenterology, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or administrative role. Experience in a safety net hospital or similar setting is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of successful leadership and management within a clinical or academic setting, demonstrating the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
- Extensive clinical knowledge and expertise in gastroenterology, including experience with complex cases and high-acuity patient populations.
