The primary responsibilities of a Research Scientist are to conduct studies, analyze, and present experimental data related to retinal disease. Investigation involves both analytical and in vitro laboratory studies. This position requires meticulous note taking, the ability to work independently with only minimal supervision and willingness to work with human tissues, including, but not limited to, eyes, brain, and blood. Other responsibilities include writing and troubleshooting protocols, ordering supplies for the lab, liaising between the Principal investigator’s lab and collaborators, and managing the day-to-day operations of the lab. This is a grant-funded position, with current funding.
