Position description

The Department of Neurology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking an outstanding Neurologist for the Alzheimer’s Program at UCLA.

This individual will work in clinical care and clinical trial performance in the Mary S. Easton Center for Alzheimer's Disease Research at UCLA and Alzheimer’s Program in the Department of Neurology at UCLA. This position will be responsible for clinical care in the Neurology Department Alzheimer’s Disease Clinic. This is a clinic within the Neurology subspecialty clinics, and is supported by a nurse practioner. He/she will provide clinical care of Alzheimer’s disease and related neurodegenerative conditions. This work will be with a team of investigators, clinicians, neuropsychologists and others in the outpatient Neurology clinics at UCLA.

The position involves teaching of residents and clinical fellows rotating through the clinics. Other teaching opportunities include case-based and didactic teaching to medical students and residents.

The Candidate must have an MD and be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology and have had subspecialty training in some aspect of neurodegenerative disease or behavioral neurology. The candidate should have expertise in the clinical care of those with neurodegenerative disorders and must demonstrate excellent communication skills.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant or Associate level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
