The West Virginia University Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology, invites applications for an open rank faculty Pediatric Ophthalmologist.
Applicants must have graduated from an accredited residency program, be board eligible/board certified and have completed a Pediatric Ophthalmology fellowship.
Individuals must be committed to clinical care, education and research in an academic environment.
The WVU Eye Institute, a new state-of-the-art three-story facility, is adjacent to WVU Hospitals, Inc., a 530-bed facility.
The Department offers both Residency and Fellowship Programs, has all sub-specialties covered by full-time Faculty and has an active research program, supported by NIH funding through R03, R01 and K23 mechanisms.
Affiliation with the School of Medicine assures an outstanding array of advanced technologies, as well as a collaborative academic atmosphere, conducive to professional growth.
Approximately 38,000 patients are seen per year, with a referral base of two million.
