The University of Vermont has an opening for a Postdoctoral Trainee in fields related to blood coagulation research, encompassing Vascular Biology, Hemostasis, Hemorrhagic Diseases and Thrombosis.
Programs extend over a broad range of Basic and Applied Science.
M.D. and Ph.D. Fellows are invited to apply for a position in an NIH sponsored training program, leading to Postdoctoral studies.
Specific areas of interest include:
•Blood coagulation reaction mechanisms.
•Biochemical/biophysical/x-ray structural characterizations of protein-protein, protein-metal ion and protein-membrane interactions.
•Dynamics and proteomics of the blood coagulation/fibrinolytic systems.
•Platelet/Megakaryocyte Biology.
•Epidemiology and genetics of cardiovascular disease and venous thrombosis.
•Diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in hemophilia and thrombosis.
