Faculty Position
Department of Chemical & Biomedical Engineering
The Department of Chemical & Biomedical Engineering invites applications and nominations for an Assistant Professor tenure-track Faculty Position, in the area of Biomedical Engineering, starting August 2010.
The new Faculty Member must have an earned Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field.
Candidates with research interests in areas such as biomedical devices, cellular/tissue engineering, biomaterials and biological transport processes, are encouraged to apply.
The ChBME Department at USF is expanding its Biomedical Engineering thrust to include application of Chemical Engineering and Chemical Engineering Science to Biological and Biomedical Systems. The Department also intends to blend Biomedical Engineering content into its B.S. Program in Chemical Engineering.
Applicants are expected to contribute to that effort, as well as strengthen the Department’s Graduate Course offering in Biomedical Engineering topics.

The new Faculty Member is expected to develop a nationally and internationally recognized program of externally funded research and demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in Undergraduate and Graduate education.
The Chemical Engineering program is ABET accredited and offers degrees at all levels. The Biomedical Engineering program offers M.S. and Ph.D. degrees.
