About the opportunity
This position plays an important role in the Postgraduate Program in Sexual and Reproductive Health in the HIV/STIs and public health pathways and also in the development and delivery of teaching in Sexual Health Medicine for medical students.

About you

  • medical degree
  • knowledge of current best practice in sexual health
  • clinical background in Sexual health
  • knowledge of public health and legal aspects as they relate sex, sexuality and sexual and reproductive health
  • skills in instructional design, research intensive resource development for on-line and face-to-face delivery of postgraduate and medical student education
  • demonstrated ability to provide effective, timely and excellent teaching practice.

A research degree (PhD or MPhil) and knowledge of current best practice in HIV and STI management would be highly regarded.

About us
The Postgraduate Program in Sexual and Reproductive Health (PGPSRH) at the Sydney Medical School is specifically focused on teaching and research into sexual health, reproductive health, sexually transmitted infections and HIV. Western Sydney Sexual Health Centre (WSSHC) is situated in Parramatta, in purpose-designed facilities and is associated with the Western Sydney Local Health District (Sydney, Australia) and Westmead Clinical School, University of Sydney. WSSHC is involved in coordination of the PGPSRH and also involved in the medical student teaching in Sexual Health Medicine. WSSHC contributes to the promotion of sexual health and reduction of spread of STIs/HIV through research, the enhancement of clinical services, teaching, training and health promotion.
