Postdoctoral Fellowship Opportunity in the Sarwal lab at UCSF
The Sarwal lab at the UC San Francisco has an opening for an NIH funded post-doctoral fellow, with a PhD in biological sciences, to join a fast-paced, highly productive group in a lab (sarwallab.surgery.ucsf.edu) that specializes in translational research in kidney injury and organ transplantation. The post-doctoral fellow will work on an exciting project to explore the molecular basis of kidney injury in specific glomerular diseases, and will be supported by strong bioinformatics expertise in the lab to learn applications of high dimensional data analysis and drug repositioning. We invite candidates with specific expertise in cell culture, microscopy and flow cytometry, and additional exposure to the conduct of mouse experiments. A background in immunology and/or statistics would be an additional benefit for this position. It is imperative for the candidate to have strong communication and writing skills.
