Psychiatrist (part-time)
FIU Green Family Foundation NeighborhoodHELP Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health

The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University in Miami, Florida is currently seeking an open rank faculty position, for a part-time, non-tenure appointment within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. The selected candidate will be responsible for clinical activities within the FIU Green Family Foundation Neighborhood Health Education Learning Program (NeighborhoodHELP). The qualified candidate will directly evaluate, consult and treat patients through the NeighborhoodHELP utilizing the collaborative care model. The position will also consist of administrative, research and educational duties including training HWCOM students through didactic sessions, small group activities, and/or directly observing and evaluating their activities in the clinical setting.

Minimum qualifications include a terminal degree as an MD (or DO, with training in allopathic psychiatry residency). The candidate must be board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), or obtain board certification within one year of employment. The candidate must have a valid and unrestricted Florida medical license, or be able to obtain a medical license in the state of Florida prior to employment.

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
