Expertise in the evaluation, diagnosis and ongoing care of patients with a wide variety of genetic disorders, birth defects and multiple malformation syndromes is desired. Major objectives are practicing genetics at our two outpatient facilities, teaching medical students and residents, inpatient consultations at our two affiliated children’s Hospitals and to be the Medical Director of our Nevada State Newborn Screening Program. Interest in developing clinical research opportunities and outreach programs is desirable, as opportunities are available. The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and rank. Clinical care will be provided at the UMC/Children’s Hospital of Nevada, Sunrise Children’s Hospital the University Pediatrics Center at Lied and the UNLV Autism Center. The UNLV Ackerman center for autism and neurodevelopmental Disorders offers opportunities for development and participation in their multidisciplinary clinics. Additional administrative responsibilities may include participation on hospital, departmental and university committees, and pediatric outreach activities/advocacy.
