Position Summary

The Department of Medicine at the University at Buffalo (UB), Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (JSMBS), Division of Nephrology, is actively recruiting candidates to apply for the position of Division Chief of Nephrology.

As Division Chief of Nephrology of UBs Department of Medicine, he/she will:
    • Recruit and mentor academically outstanding faculty members
    • Grow multidisciplinary clinical programs
    • Oversee education of medical students, residents, and fellows in Nephrology
    • Expand research activities of the Division

Minimum Qualifications
  • MD, DO, MD/PhD, or equivalent.


Preferred Qualifications

  • B/C Nephrology
  • Eligible for NY State license
  • A sustained record of academic accomplishment, including management experience within an academic medical center.
  • A funded research program in basic, translational, or clinical research
  • A national reputation for leadership in Nephrology.
