We are looking for a highly motivated individual interested in studying cellular cardiac electrophysiology using whole cell, patch clamp techniques. This is an NIH funded position. Current projects include studies investigating the effects of the autonomic nervous system and antiarrhythmic agents on the electrical properties of cardiac myocytes. Qualified individuals must be willing to work with a team of collaborators, including those at UNR and the University of California Davis, who are using a variety of experimental and computational approaches to investigate cellular, subcellular, and molecular mechanisms involved in the generation and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in physiology, pharmacology, biophysics, or related field. Excellent English language skills (both written and oral). Patch clamp experience preferred.

Salary is commensurate with experience. Health and retirement benefits included.
